I have a great deal of information on Levy County and some of the things you stated in your Smith posting does not ring true with the facts from Levy County History.

In 1850 I found Aaron Smith living in Levy County but he had no family in the household with him. He was born about 1810 in NY.

I found a person named Aaron Smith who married in Levy County on 6 Aug 1863 to Mary Ann Bush. Later I found a Thaddeus Smith who married Victoria Wilkinson on 19 Dec 1886.

She could have been a Highsmith before she married a Wilkinson for there were some Wilkinson folks in Levy County.

In 1860 there is a Aaron Smith born about 1815 in NY with wife Tabitha and two males named James and J. Monroe Colusis Smith in the household.

Is this your family?
