Thank you for the information on the Florida line. This has been a very challenging line to research because of the Florida state and Florida surname confusion.

Here's what I can tell you about Mary Ann Florida and John Newton Linton family that may help Florida family researchers.

Mary A. Florida Linton was b. August 18, 1811 SC and died August 13, 1875 , Miller County, Arkansas. She is buried in Sulfur Fork Cemetery, Lafayette County, Arkansas.

This Linton family can be found in:
1840 Federal Census, Clark County, Arkansas, Southfork Township, pg 110.
1850 Federal Census, Harrison County, Texas, pg 88B, family 645.
1860 Federal Census, Lafayette County, Arkansas, Spring Bank, pg 68, family 478.
