Searching for ancestry of James E. Flowers, Georgia
James Flowers is listed on the 1880 census of Cartersville, Bartow, Georgia, age 5 (b. 1874/75), son of Martin L. (age 33, born 1847) and Maggie (age 30) Flowers.James (middle initial "E" - I presume it was Edward) married Maxine Belle Downs in 1897, and had 4 sons and 3 daughters. His eldest son, Walker Edward Flowers (b. 1898) is my grandfather.I am searching for the parents and grandparents of James E.
The Martin L. Flowers listed on the Cartersville, GA 1880 census apparently is NOT the Martin Luther Flowers who was born 12 Jan 1847 in Snellville, Gwinnett, Georgia, as the latter had ten children, his James (4th born, 1874) had a middle name of Jonathan, and James J. had no children named Walker.
Anyone have any info on Martin L. Flowers, born approx. 1847, whose first-born was James E. Flowers?
