Lorraine,
No one has been able to find PROOF of Ignatious Flowers' parents so far, that he was born in Maryland came from a great niece of Uriah Goldsborough Flowers (son of Uriah and born 1820 in Mississippi)that took some letters of Uriah G Flowers and made a chart of the Flowers and Watsons in the early 1900's.
The earliest record of Ignatious Flowers found so far was in Duplin NC in 1762.The earliest record of the name Ignatius Flower was found (I think it was 1710) in London, England (this was a court case)This Ignatius should be too old to be our Ignatious.
The Flowers of Maryland have put wills ect on online and the Maryland archives has online records.
The proof of Ignatious Flowers parents would be a great gift to this Flowers family.
Donna
