Lorraine,
I have never heard of a Dobbs County in Maryland but there was a Dobbs County in North Carolina now extinct. The old Dobbs county is present day , Wayne, Lenoir, and Green counties. Most of the old records of Dobbs were burnt in a fire in Lenoir County.
Ignatious Flowers lived in Dobbs before he moved to Bladen.
You can access a few Dobbs records from the North Carolina Genweb Archives.
There was an Edward Goldsberry that bought land from Andrew Bass Sr. I have wondered if he is the same Edward Goldsbury mentioned in the estate of William Flowers of Maryland in 1745.
Donna
