Thomas Boone Flud, Charleston SC 1853

Hello, My Great-Grandfather was born near Charleston, SC in 1853. In the 1880 census he was listed as head of the family living with a cousin Daniel Flud (born 1857). They were farmers. He (Thomas)later became a surveyor. He was married to Anna Marceline MacBeth (born 1868) sometime after 1880 and they had 10 children. When he was a very young child both of his parents died and he was raised by and Aunt and Uncle. I do not know if they adopted him or not. Does anyone perhaps have any history further back than that? I would love to find out more history if I can. Thanks. Ellen
