Patricia A. (Fluke) Wilcox, 84, of Shrewsbury, formerly of California and Pennsylvania died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in her home after a brief illness.

Her husband and love of her life, Harvey Wilcox, died in 1994. She leaves her children, William Henry Mortenson and his wife, Zenaida of Murrieta, California and Nancy Lee Swanson and her companion, Larry Moye of West Boylston; three step-children: Richard and Thomas Wilcox and Virginia Schock, all of California; two grandchildren: William R. Mortenson of San Diego, California and Cynthia A. Mortenson of Hemet, California; four great grandchildren and a dear friend of 70 years, Janie Hill of Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Mrs. Wilcox was born in Geneva, New York, daughter of the late Wayne and Myrtle (Bryan) Fluke. She graduated from Linden Hall in Lititz, PA in 1943 and from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Lancaster, PA in 1947. She lived many years in Pennsylvania and California before moving to the Southgate community in Shrewsbury 15 years ago.

When Patricia lived in Pennsylvania, she worked as a dedicated Nurse and Night Supervisor for many years at the Kane Community Hospital in Kane, PA before she retired. Later in her life, she lived in California, where she was a member of Arcata United Methodist Church in Arcata.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mrs. Wilcox's family on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Patricia's funeral services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Linden Hall Annual Fund, Linden Hall, 212 East Main Street, Lititz, Pennsylvania 17543.
