I just found this web site this evening and wanted to pass along my thanks to the many people who have submited information to the general discusion of the surname "Fluke". Since I have always lived in either Oklahoma or Texas I have never met anyone with my surname, other than direct relatives, let alone had a discusion about its origin. I currently live in South Texas and have had people ask me if I was related to anyone in Pflugerville, TX. I have always politely told them no and until tonight had no real relational understanding of why strangers would have connected Fluke with Pfluger, outside of the obvious phonetic connection. Again, I simply wanted to express my appreciation to the people of this forum for the open exchange of information. I know my father has hit a wall on his research and I have forwarded him the web site address.
