Just a point of interest on Fluker, Louisiana. No one named Fluker ever lived there. It was named by Richard Kent, founder, for his father James Fluker Kent, a Civil War vet whose father was a founder of Kentwood, LA (home of Britney Spears). James went by the name "Fluker" rather than James. James Fluker Kent's mother was Susan Fluker, of St. Helena Parish, daughter of Col Robert Fluker and Susan Kendrick Fluker, who moved to La from GA around 1811, just in time for Col Robert to participate in the War of 1812.

I believe Col. Robert Fluker was the son of David Fluker of NC (David Fluker III) and Jemima Oldham, although I have found no record proving that as yet. But Robert and Susan Kendrick named one of their daughters Jemima Oldham Fluker.
