Hello Mary, and thanks for the response. My new data suggests that my family's Rose Foder was born in 1874 (1920 U.S. Fed. Census data). Another church record mentions Magyarorzag as birth location. Known brothers were Steve and Joseph, and father and mother were Janos Fodor and Elizabeth (Erzsebet) Vereb. I am still wondering how closely related the various Fodor families may be, as so many seem to come from the same or nearby locations. SE Svenson
Representing the BLCS database, and studying: Bredemeier, Bornemann, Coy, Federlein, Fodor, Ganeo, Gehring, Hohmann, Houck, Keith, Kneip, Kording, Kreutzer, Lindner, Pack, Saxon, Schaub, Sweitzer, Vereb, and Weiss all settling in the Allegheny County area of Pennsylvania in the mid- and late-1800's.
