The Bishop and his family

Hello,

I've been researching my Tipperary line back to great, great, great grandparents William Gleeson (1816-1879) and Elizabeth Fogarty (1824-1887). Elizabeth was apparently very closely related to Archbishop Dr. Michael Fogarty, family legend would place her as his aunt.

She is certainly born in Kilcoman, Youghlarra as he was. Does anyone have any information that may shed light on this connection?

I've also been researching the more direct line of the Archbishop - if you're related, then let me know and I'll send my findings!

Stephen
