"Katherine V. (Deery) Fogarty, of Warwick Neck and summer resident of Quonochontaug for 30 years, died February 25, 2005. She was the wife of the late Gerald J. Fogarty.
Mrs. Fogarty was the daughter of the late Bridget (McAdam) and Peter S. Deery of Providence.

She was a graduate of St. Mary Academy and Rhode Island College and was a teacher in the Providence School Department before her marriage.

She was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and an active parishioner. She had been a golfing member of the Warwick Country Club for over 50 years and a member of the RIWGA and the Warwick Neck Garden Club.

She leaves a son, Gerald J. Fogarty Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Barrington; a daughter, Margaret F. Cashion and her husband, Paul, of Narragansett; six grandchildren, Gerald J. Fogarty III of Boston, Sarah F. Thorn of Washington, DC, Laura F. Nerney of Needham, MA, John P. Cashion, Esq. of Bethel, AK, Susan C. Robinson, MD of Cambridge, Mass., and Margaret C. Lysy of Chicago, IL; and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary E. Deery, Rev. Lawrence E. Deery, James P. Deery, MD and Margaret R. Deery.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889 would be appreciated. Arrangements were made with Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, Warwick."
