Maggie, Thanks for the response. I still don't know who is the father of my Jacob Foglesong. I feel he is connected to Christian & Barbara but am not sure if he is a son or possibly nephew. Christian's will dated 1818 names George age 15, Jacob age 14 & Christian age 13. John Hiser (second wife of Barbara) was named guardian of the 3 boys.
The reason I question if this Jacob and my Jacob could be th same one is that my Jacob m. Nancy Simmons in Rush Co., IN. In 11825, John & Barbara Hiser (Fogelsoing?)of Montgomery Co. IN sold property to Jacob Foglesong of Rush Co., IN . In 1833 Jacob sold his Rush Co., property and purchased property in Hancock Co. ( My Foglesong was in Hancock Co.), so this appears to be my Jacob and Nancy.
Barbara's son, George also was in Rush Co., IN. in 1820 (married there). What info do you have about Jacob and this family? Janice
