Bob -

Read your message re: Simon Foglesong from Frederick, VA. I am also researching Foglesongs, specifically George Foglesong and his brother Christian from Stephen City, VA, which is also in Frederick County, VA. I have been trying to connect your Simon to George. I am curious to know what is your source that Charles, Christian and Maria are his children? From all the county records in Frederick, it appears the frist records of Simon and his Wife Sussannah start in 1787 with the purchase of some land, which they in turn sold in 1794. Previous to this there are court records that link Georg Foglesong, to a son George, a son Jacob and a daughter Mary Ann Foglesong. His will alos mentions other brothers and sisters. Do you happen to know how old Simon was when he passed away? I'd like to discuss more with you all of this.

As far as the information I have, it traces my lineage from George Foglesong of Stephen City, and his families move to Bath County and then onto Mason. Furthermore, I have information on the same family moving to Indiana, Iowa, Oklahoma, Washington State and California.

Chris Dunn
