I suppose this mess of Foglesong's will never be straightened out. I wrote a Foglesong newsletter for 8 years for the purpose of finding my line. Hopefully, I helped a few other Foglesong researchers along the line.

My Christian Foglesong, son of Christian & Barbara Rhinebarger, married Phoebe Leslie (l8ll-l903) in Montgomery County, Ohio on March 20, l828.

In one instance regarding his father, Christian (who died in Montgomery County, Ohio in l807) - wife was Barbara Rhinebarger - his children are listed & it also says "George Foglesong, Sr. lives in Montgomery County".

Should I presume that this George Foglesong, Sr. is Christian's father?

Too bad better records weren't kept to keep us informed of which family belongs to whom. But then again this might be one of our purposes in life, to get involved & set the records straight. Comments, anyone???
