Gary,
I'm Ralph Meiser, Monroe, Mi son of Wilbert J. Meiser and Margaret Stocker Meiser. Two brothers Richard J., Louisville, Ky and Robert A., Painseville, Oh. Dad moved north starting in the early 20's.

A question first. Are there two Jacob Meiser's buried in Ave Maria? My grandfather is Jacob, but I thought my grandmother was Mary. They died around the time I was 4 or 5. That would put it around 1947-48 maybe as late as 49. They were buried out of the old wooden church. Al and Hilda Meiser are also buried there. They were my Aunt and Uncle.
My aunt Virginia Offengurger and her husband Frank are also buried there.

The Meiser homeplace was up the road from the church. It was torn down years ago and replaced with a brick ranch home. I believe the only older buildings left are a small block barn across the driveway and an equipment barn toward the back of the farmyard. Supposedly the 1930-1 Chevy Stake bed truck is still there.

In addition to the graves at Ave Maria, there are also Meiser graves at the site of the old Rainbow Church. I was told that is my great grandfather and mother. There is also an infant grave there.

I still have many cousins in the area. Churchtown church has William (Billy) and Marie Schwendeman. Several of there kids live in the area. Boys were Harold, Ralph and Paul. Girls were twins Leora and Leona.

Paul and Mildred Bauerbach from Beverly were also my aunt and uncle. Mildred was the youngest Meiser girl. They are buried at the beverly church. Believe there are 12 kids left and all live in the area from Beverly to Marietta. Have kept in touch with some or most of them.

Ella Rauch, an aunt lived to 101 in Newark. At least one daughter, Eleanor Jean Pape still lives in Heath. Aunt Agnes Jurden also lived with her kids in the Newark area until her death.

Other recollections were of two great aunts, Kate and Mag. I believe they had the arnold name. One lived to 104, the other to just over 100.

Only Meiser I believe I left out was Clarence (w.Wava). They moved to Akron. He died quite young, sometime in the late 50's or early 60's. A son Wayne was a teacher in Vienna, WV schools a few years back. They also had a daughter Carol
