Actually, I've always wondered why they chose to settle in Indiana.Maybe they were related to other Foleys who were already there. I just don't know.Maybe our sets are related after all.
The ones in England as far back as I know were:
Thomas Foley, b. 1837, Dudley, Worcestershire
married to Mary Jane Price, Barrow in Furness, Lancashire.
These were the parents of the ones who settled in Indiana.
The children were later named after other family members so there are several Thomas, Edwards, Phillips, Johns, Josephs, Williams, Lillys, Sarahs, and Marys down the line.
I can't trace them any farther back as of yet.But I just started looking in April.
Does any thing sound familiar?
