Here is the Joplin library site. Perhaps they will assist you in locating an obituary for John through a cemetery lookup of the exact date of his death. That would at least give you the names of John's survivors as of 1982. I couldn't find Grace Florence Foley's death, but I imagine she is buried by John. If the library workers can find her in the cemetery book, maybe they can find her obit, also.
