Martin Van Buren Foley, Sr and Jr.
Posted by: Rena Goings (ID *****6555) Date: April 14, 2011 at 13:12:11

I have been tracing both Martin Sr and Jr. through the census. I found Sr. from 1840 through 1870 and then in the 1900 and 1910 census. Martin, Jr. I have traced in 1900 through 1930. I can find neither one of them in the 1880 census. Does anyone know where they are? In 1870, Sr. is in Woodruff, AR living with his sister Mary A. and her husband, Crawford Foley. He married Nellie Margaret Jones around this time in Cotton Plant, Woodruff, AR. The 1900 and 1910 census has both Sr. and wife, Nellie, living in Van Buren, Crawford, AR. Sr. then died 26 Nov 1910. In 1900, Jr. is in Van Buren, Crawford, AR living with wife, Alice (Clawson) and a daughter, Fay (Lafayette). In 1910, Jr. and family have moved to Dardanelle, Yell, AR. They are still there in 1920 but have moved to Pulaski, AR by 1930. Any help in finding these Foleys in 1880 would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone just happens to know who Sr's grandfather is, I'd love to have the information! Thanks so much!
