I believe you sent me an inquiry before regarding African American Folks. "My" Folks are from Northern Virginia. In the past few weeks I have been concentrating on this branch but I have not found any connection to your Fred Folks. Since he lived until 1965, he might have social security records that you can send for via the social security death index found on the ancestry.com web site.Usually, this record lists' parents'names. Also check on his marriage lisence--another good source for names of parents. Find him on the 1910 or 1920 census, and one of the columns should list birthplace of parents. Let me know what you find if you follow up this way--we may be kin!!!
