Soloman Brinson Folks was my gg grandfather. He was born September 17, 1818 in Jefferson Co., Ga. He died October 04, 1897 near Romeo, Fla. He married Jane Dupree and had three sons. Mallie Folks, Thomas Folks and William James Folks.

William James Folks was born August 29, 1846 near Starksville, Sumpter Co., Ga. William came to Florida when he was about 4 years old and established a homestead near Juliette Fla. William Folks married Susannah Jane Seckinger and lived on Valley farm the remainder of his life. William died at his daughter Janie's home in Dunnellon, Fla. on Nov. 15, 1926. He is buried in Fellowship, Fla. William and Jane had 10 children including Rebecca Jane Folks.

Rebecca Jane Folks married James Franklin Meredith. They lived and died in Dunnellon, Fla. They were my grandparents.

I have a good record of the decendants of Soloman Brinson Folks. I have no knowledge of his siblings or his parents. Please email me and we can share information.
