(From John Ashcraft's "The 31st Virginia Infanty." - some irrelevant info snipped for space sake, i.e. effects issued at discharge, etc.) FOLKS, ADAM E. Sgt-Corp. Co. F, Enl. 5/24/61 at Huttonsville under Currence. Age 23, 5'11", dk. complex, dk. hair, blk. eyes. POW once, wd. one time. Oath by Poore at Staunton 5/25/66. Died 1914 in Randolph County (WV). FOLKS, ANDERSON Pvt., Co. E. Residence Monteray, Highland County. Postwar res. Bath, VA. FOLKS, HENRY Pvt., Co. E. Enl. March 31, 1862 at Alleghany under Myers. FOLKS, JOHN W. Pvt., Co. F. Enl. 5/24/61 at Huttonsville, under Currence. Brother of Adam, son of Wm. and Mehalia. 5/6/64 KIA at Wilderness, Gordon's right flank. FOLKS, NOAH Pvt., Co. E Enlisted 3/31/62 at Alleghany, under Myers. Born in Pendleton County. Killed in action Port Republic May 9, 1962. Jan 21, 1863 pay claimed by George Folks, father. FOLKS, WM. Pvt. Co. E., enl. 3/31/62 at Alleghany under Myers. 7/19/62 discharge at Gordonsville. Cert. #222. FOLKS, WM. Enl. 3/31/62 at Alleghany under Myers, 06/18/62 admitted Charlottsville, 6/24/62 died of pneumonia at C.G.H.
