Kenneth
I read your post about the ffolliott family settling in sligo in the mid
17th century and your comments about being able to access information about
them. I just wonder whether the information to which you have access
includes a line of descent from these early ffolliotts.
I am descended from ffolliotts, Kelletts and Hartleys who were resident in
Meath at least in the late 18th through to mid 19th centuries, apparently in
and around Oldcastle.
Thomas KELLETT, a saddler in Oldcastle, County Meath, was born about 1750
and married Betsy FOILETT and had issue. They had at least one daughter
Frances, who was my GGGrandmother. Betsy FIOLETT turns out to be Eliza
FFOLLIOTT, daughter of Abraham FFOLLIOTT.Abraham's ancestry is unclear.
Interested to know if you might have come across an Abraham ffolliott of mid
18th century vintage.
Kind regards
