Yes the Insel of Neuwerk is where the Neuwerk lighthouse is and it is right by Cuxhaven and Hamburg, my great great grandfathers siblings where said to have come from Hamburg, & the area of New York is correct. My grand fathers father lived in NY along with all the Aunts, it was their father who came to America, Peter Christian Follmer,the family from Neuwerk was said to have lost many of the children in a bad storm, they had said a total of fifteen. When my mother past away alot of the family photos were scattered around to different family members, I have tryed to find imformation from the actual Insel of Neuwerk but it is hard when you do not speak German I am sure they do have records.
