Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
To add another bit of information, there were at least three lines of Folmars from Pike County, AL -- all descendants of John Nicholas & Elizabeth Lansdale Folmar -- who moved to Wood Co., TX. One line was that of Issac S. Folmar. Isaac was the oldest child of John Nicholas. He died in Pike County, AL in 1856 but at least 4 of his sons moved to Wood County, TX. And Isaac's brother Abraham moved to Wood Co., TX and is buried in Yantis Cemetery there. He spelled his name FOLMAR, just as his father did before him, and it appears as FOLMAR on his grave stone, as someone in Wood County sent me a photo of the grave. And Jacob Leonard Folmar, son of Isaac and Abraham's brother Jacob Folmar, also moved to Wood Co., TX for a while before moving to Oklahoma.
Mary Folmar McRae, only sister of Isaac S., Abraham & Jacob, also moved to TX, but she and her husband, John McRae, moved to a different county.
