If you check my webpage Fonner Family History at
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~refonner/index2.htm
and look in Crawford Co database my guess is thats where
you find the Ashtabula Fonner's.
Some Greene Co., Pa Fonners moved into and thru OH in 1800's also on way to Fort Wayne, IN area, Illinois and elsewhere.
I have a lot of OH census on Fonners - if you have some names let me know or look in the different databases on the website.
