I just recieved some old family history on the JOHN A. FOOSE (FUSS) MARY KNOBLOCK family. MARY was born Dec. 7, 1807 in UNION TOWNSHIP, HUNTINGTON COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA. She married JOHN A. FUSS. b. March 2, 1805 D. Sept 26, 1877. John is likely also from this area of PA. The family moved to D,C, and had the following children: (1) John F. Fuss, who married a lady from Georgia and went there to live; (2) Mary Jane , who married three times and had no children,;(3) Elizabeth H., who married a man named BEAN and had two sons, John and Roy; (4) Thomas A. Fuss (5) Frank Fuss ;(6) William Fuss; (7) Alfred Fuss, who had a son; (8) Martha Fuss , married a man named BURROUGHS; and (9)(Virginia Fuss, who married Benjamin Ellison Thompson. Other children of either Frank or William are ; Ethel, Pear, and Edna. The information goes on to say that the family is believed to have Quaker ties. They also had ties to the MILLER and KNOBLOCKS who had moved to OHIO in the early 1830's.
