Foppiano family before 1900
Posted by: Alberto J. Foppiano Date: December 14, 2001 at 03:54:55

My grandfather Giusseppi Antonio Foppiano was apparently born at Cicagna in 1880. He might have traveled (alone?) to New York in 1896 to meet his brother Stefani and wife Elena Bremi (an alternative could be the three of them traveled together to New York). Both brothers apparently worked in Brookling for about four years before traveling together to Chile were they settled in Santiago. A third brother, Giovani may have stayed in Cicagna. Their mother may have been Teresa Cavagnaro. Any news relating my grandfather and his parents and relatives in Italy will be most welcomed. Thank you. Alberto.
