Hi Diane,
i was reading down through various posts about fordes in east galway.it may be of revelance but my branch of the forde tree comes from reaghan, tynagh sometimes spelled phoenetically as rayhan-this townland is on the parish boundary with abbey-duniry..my grandfathers name was patrick (sonny) forde who was born to winifred (kelly) fordein the latter part of 1800's he had a brother john (johnny) sisters nora, mary-ann and lilian and as far as i know another sibling emigrated to america..patrick (sonny) also had a cousin martin who lived alongside in reaghan..i dont know much about martins family but i think there may be connections with the maddens and/or mcdonoughs and glynn families of duniry parish
