I'm searching for the ancestors of Audra Lee Garrard (Garrad), born 1910 in Lone Oak, TX. Siblings were Ruth Jewel m. John S. Crafts in 1920, Lillian m. Mr.Bryant, Vera m. Mr. Anglin, Darris (male), and Ila m. Mr. Stevens.
Their father was: John Dudley Garrard, b.1875 in Meridian, MS to abt. 1957 in TX. He may have had a sister named Ella. His father may also have been named John, and is said to have been a Confederate veteran. John Senior may have been married to Delia Wood. The middle name Dudley makes me suspect some connection with the KY Garrards.
Their mother was Ella Amanda Fore, whose mother was named Martha.
Although I've looked at many sites with Fores and Garrards, I've come up empty with this family. If you have any documentation for any of them, please let me know. All the information above is from verbal sources. I'd love to see census, church, cemetary, land ownership records from Hunt, Franklin, Titus Co.s in TX, and McCurtain Co. in OK.
