Hi,
Recently traced my Grandmothers family back to a Robert (Mac/Mack)Fore, b. August 10, 1831 in Virginia. He was son of John Fore and Elizabeth Chick.

Robert Fore married Elizabeth V. Chick (b.June 15, 1834, VA) who was daughter of Henry A. Chick and his wife Lucy Cunningham.

According to family oral history, Henry A. Chick and Elizabeth Chick (wife of John Fore) were brother and sister.

Robert (Mac/Mack) and Elizabeth (Chick) Fore relocated to Tennessee where my grandmother, Mary Fore, was born in 1863 in McNairy County. They had a son named Charlie and I believe one or two other daughters, possibly Maude and Millie.

Bette/Betty is often a nickname for Elizabeth. So there is a possibility we may be researching the same lines.
