Dear Peter,

According to the records that I have, The marechal's father (Frederic Forey, born 1773) was one of eleven children born to Jean Forey (who was one of 15 children born to Thomas Forey and Catherine Marlien) and Anne Savolle. The children of Jean and Anne were:

Catherine: born 10/8/1754
Louis: born 25/8/1755
Jacques: born 15/11/1756
Magdeleine: born 29/1/1758
Antoine: born 24/4/1759
Antoinette: born 15/10/1761
Marie: born 15/4/1764
Charles: born 4/5/1765
Antoinette: born 24/10/1766
Jean-Baptiste: born 11/10/1768
Frederic: born 12/3/1773 (father of Elie Frederic)

My husband's great great great grandfather, Charles Forey and the marechal's father were brothers.

I couldn't find in my record any of the Foreys that you have cited. But then on the other hand we don't have alot of information about the other Foreys except for the descendents of Charles. It is therefore totally possible that our families are connected in some way..
I would be greatful if you could share some of the research that you have done sofar.

Best regards,
