I belive Maria was baptised 1771 at Thursley (Surrey). The Forey family had been established there for 6 generations, back to Phillipe Foorie married 1615. Two of Maria's brothers Stephen and William are listed in the 1841 census and the 1846 tithe map, and are among the Forey graves in Thursley churchyard. They were the last generation to live in Thursley but other branchs spread throughout west Surrey and later in London and South Wales. I have a lot of info on Foreys in England and Wales which I am happy to share. bforey@callnetuk.com
