My maternal Grandfather was George William Forey born 8/3/1882 - died August 1954.
He married Agnes Victoria Day and they had 9 children:- Agnes (Mick), William (Bill), Violet (Vy), Ethel, Leonard, Dorothy (Dolly),Ivy, Mabel (Maisie) & Stan. All dead except Ethel (now 91 living in Surrey) &
Dolly still living in Islington. My Mother was Maisie (14/10/19 - 3/2/85). She was born in Pickering Street, just off the Essex Road in Islington, N.1. They later moved to Offord Road Islington, then Radley Road in Tottenham during W.W.II. Bombed there, they moved to 88 Park Lane, Tottenham, N.17.
George William Forey had a Silversmith/Engraving business in Great Poulteney Street in Soho, W.1. He shared the business with a Mr. Churchill. The business apparently passed over to Mr. Churchill when he died in 1954 aged 72.
