I have also found a misspelling like this in Rutherford County, NC. I would like more information about Mary Farister in the 1850 Rutherford County census. She is living with Martin Farister, James Rains, Tempra Rains, and William Cantrill. I think she is the widow of an H. Forrister living there in 1840. I would like to know if they are the parents of William Henry Forister who married Lucinda Green in Polk County in 1857. James Rains witnessed their marriage, so he might be a brother-in-law to William. I appreciate any help.
