I am researching the Forrester/Forester/Forrister/Forister family that settled in Madison Co., ILL around the 1830s. So far, from census records, it appears there may have been an Isaac Newton Forrester b. abt. 1843-1845, son of Alexander Forrester (b. abt. 1805 and from either TN or one of the Carolinas) and Sarah Duncan (b. 1809, ILL). Alexander and Sarah had a large family and Alexander appears to have remarried around 1854 after Sarah Duncan died around 1852. There's a lot on line in the census related to land purchases in Madison Co.(and Bond Co.), ILL--especially Highland, in Madison Co., Ill. My descendent is yet another William Henry Forrester, a son of Alexander F. and Sarah Duncan b. abt. 1838. Also, my best guess so far is that Isaac Newton married Elise "Minnie/Mittie E." Wilkinson in Green Co., Ill around 1872. A daughter Cora, born 1885 is one of their children.
