I am also searching for information on Forkners in Tennessee and Oregon and California. My GG-Grandfather was Thomas Forkner (his daughter was Anna Forkner) who both ended up in Marion County Oregon as early as 1890, but Thomas was born in Tennessee in 1830ish (possibly Sweetwater). I also have found reference to an Uncle William Forkner and a Mary who were still alive in California in 1923. Mary lived in Saugus and I have no idea where William lived. Do you think they could be any relation to your ancestors?
