Forney Surname Project

I am a Forney descendant and would like to know who might be interested in a Forney DNA project.

DNA has proven to be a valuable tool for genealogy.
Y chromosome testing could answer some of the questions such as:
Are the Forney families of Lancaster and York Counties related?
Are the Forney’s related to the Fortney’s or Fournier’s?

Y chromosome testing provides only information about an unbroken male line, a man, his father, grandfather and on back so it is very suited for surname studies.
No health information is obtained by the test.
The test is usually made by collecting cells from the inside of the cheek with a small brush. Care is taken to protect participants’ privacy.

If you are a Forney male or have a relative who might be interested in being tested, email me at shall@pacbell.net
