Col. Forney was killed in action 29 November 1950 in Korea. He was the commander of the 19th combat engineers. I am not related but am trying to locate blood relatives to submit an mtDNA sample to the JPAC program so that his remains can be identified. His remains may be among those repatriated already or yet to be returned to the U.S. Any help appreciated. Please write me at <wilmer@dmv.com>.

I have found references to him in South Dakota, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington state, Minnesota but cannot find the relatives I have identified so far.

Wife/widow? Dorothy M. Woodson
Children: John Clark Forney, Frances Forney

Need sibling for match or daughter of a sister.
