My John (Johannes) E. was baptized in Shippensburg, PA in 1819. Church records indicate his father was David (b 1787) and mother Elizabeth.

Their children are:
Mary (Polly), b 1816
Margaretha, b 1818
Johannes E., b 1819
Elizabeth, b 1821
David, b. ca 1823
Samuel, b 1827
Sara Ann, b 1829
Lea, b 1831

David died in 1871 in Franklin Co., PA leaving a will, but not mentioning my John, alas.

John moved to Vicksburg, MS where he was coroner during the Siege of Vicksburg.

I never have been able to definitively link David to the earlier Forneys.

My brother just had a DNA test done and I would dearly love to extend the Forney line.
