Also, the Jacob Forney who took ill has been identified as NOT being a son of Count Pierre de la Ferney, as claimed by some. His birth was on 4 Oct 1721, his parents were given as Jean Jacques Pharny and Barbe Schelaster or Barbara Schlecty... they were married on 1 Dec 1720 and in 1728 Jean Jacques was cited as a godfather [src: France Births and Baptisms 1546-1896, C05020-6. Call #727366, LDS website]. Jean Jacques Pharny was perhaps a son of Johannes or Hans Farny & Magdalena Drasseler or of a Johann Peter Farni baptism/christening date: 07 Jan 1691, Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France, whose father's name was Hanss Farni and mother's name was Elsbeth Kisslig. My mother studied several languages, including German, in school but she died in 1984 and I've not spoken to my first cousin who studied in Paris & Switzerland for a good 20 years before even then. Mom died in Jul '84, Uncle Ken in Aug '84, and Uncle Bill in Jun '98.
