Hello Sherri,

I have the Fors surname in my tree. My grandmother was Mary (Muri) Fors. She spoke Finnish though. I have been having a terrible time trying to locate any information on her. I believe she was born in Finland. I also believe she immigrated in the late 20's. She married Eino Michael Matson on 11/15/1934. She died 12/18/1943 at the age of 31. They lived in Riverhead, LI, NY. She left my mother Nancy and a son Donald. (My mother was only 8 months old when Mary died. Donald was about 4 yrs old. Both children went into the foster care program soon after her death. If any of this sounds familiar too you or to anyone else you may know, please let me know. I have been search for info on Mary for 3 1/2 yrs now. The state of NY is very very slow with their record responses. Hope to talk to you soon. thanks
