I too am researching the Forsons. My mother was a Forson born in Oklahoma. Her father was John Thomas Forson born in Robertson Cty, Texas. I have her line as follows:

William Forson, VA abt. 1760
William J. Forson, NC abt 1797
Wiley G. Forson, Georgia abt 1820
Wiley G.Forson, Ga abt 1847 (Civil War soldier)
John T. Forson, Texas 1896
Mary G. Forson (my mother) OK 1922

I have found some land records in Spotsvlvania Cty, VA, that are deeds from a Wm. Forson and his wife Milley in 1771. I am trying to figure out how these fit into the picture. Also wonder if Stephen Forson wasn't somehow a piece of the puzzle too.
