Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Danielle, you actually could be right. I have been collecting Fortson family [all spellings] for 30 years and found that most Forsons can trace their lines back to William Forson/ Fortson b. 1736 Caroline Co, VA, son of Thomas Fortson Sr. Most of the US Fortsons can trace their lines through William's brother Thomas, Jr.
