Dear Mary
I have only discovered this Forson genealogy thing today, and have not had time to read all 53 messages, but I think I might be able to be of help to you. I have a copy of a family register transcribed by Robert Forson (1851-1909), which he gave to his brother, my great-grandfather Andrew Forson (1839-1921). Their father (my great-great grandfather) was David Forson (1799-1862). This document says that one of David sons, John, was ‘born at Redhouses Feb 19 1829 and died at Edifon? (I am not sure of this word) Garrisons Putnam Co N Y Feb 23 1872’. This document is dated June 16 1882.

I presume you are aware of the Dryburgh memorial stones? I think Redhouses was in the Dryburgh district - There is a Bluehouses there now, but I can’t find a Redhouses!
