I am Andrew Granger Forson (b1937), the great-grandson of Andrew Forson (1839-1921), and currently live in Northamptonshire, England. Our family records have three Alexanders (they donít have an s in the name). These records suggest that there was an Alexander Forson born in the parish of Merton (near Dryburgh) in 1757 who died in 1826 at 14 High St Glasgow. We however know nothing of his children, if any. He was the son of Zerubbabel Haig Forson (1717-1788) and Agnes Purves (1715-1798), and the younger brother of William Forson (1751-1823) who is my great-great-great-grandfather. A second Alexander was a stillborn (1845) brother of Andrew Forson (1839-1921). The third was Capt Alexander RNR (1889-1932), who was buried at sea (Dryburgh memorial stone). He was a son of Robert Forson (1851-1909), who was a younger brother of Andrew Forson (1839-1921).
I hope this may help you in a hunt of relatives. It is possible that we share great-great grandparents. I would be happy to supply any more information.
PS: I have written a note to Mary Alice Forson Nassief (no 54). I think that the John she mentions is an elder brother of Andrew (1839-1921) and Robert (1851-1909).
