Family document 2: This document was in my father’s possession (George Alan Granger Forson 1903-1988). It seems to be in his handwriting and is presumably a copy of an older family document, but I do not know its provenance. There are gaps in this copy which I presume are due to my father not being able to read the original. It gives additional information to that on the Dryburgh stones. The bottom third of the document is a copy of the previous document and is not included here.
Note: These documents are set out in columns which help with the interpretation, but multiple spaces seem to be removed in GenForum documents.

Note by Andrew Granger Forson: My father told me that David J Forson (d 16 Nov 1862) was a son of William Forson (1751-1823) and Isabella Fishe (see Dryburgh Forsons (62)). This seems to be implied by the above document, though the word ‘son’ has not been included. It is possible that David Forson is a son of another branch of the family. If anyone can conform this connection, or has different information I would be pleased to know about it.
On the information in these documents and the Dryburgh stones, and assuming that David is a son of William (as discussed above), I have drawn up a time-line family tree. It is a one page document in Word 97. I could send it as an e-mail attachment to anyone who would like to see it.
