Seeking Origins of Ellender Fortner, Married to Aaron Amos Cornelius
Posted by: B. A. (ID *****3928) Date: November 20, 2006 at 20:17:44

Anyone out there possibly know which Fortner line Ellender (Fortner) Cornelius ties into? Ellender is my 3rd great grandmother. She was born about 1790 in NC, and died about 1850 in Blount Co., AL. Was married to Aaron Amos Cornelius in Jefferson Co., AL in 1808 and the couple had a large family together. Iím descended through her daughter, Tabitha. Name variously spelled Ellender, Eleanor, Elinor, etc. Iíve never been able to find any info regarding her parents for some reason.

I know that there is also a Permelia Ellender Fortner b.1837, and have wondered if there might be some kind of familial connection.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
