Etheldred/Elijah/Thomas Fortner (Forkner) information

Looking for general information on Thomas Fortner born in 1835/1836 in North Carolina to Elijah and Martha Fortner. Thomas moved from NC to Tennessee and then to Salem, Oregon.

Thomas' father, Elijah was the son of Effel Dred (aka Etheldred) Fortner. Does anyone have the parents of Etheldred/Effel Fortner born abt 1777 in Surrey County, NC, died 1852 in Blount County, Tennessee?

Also looking for general information on Thomas' father, Elijah (b. 1796 Wilkes Co., NC, died in Hawkins Co. Tenn). Elijah married Marth Fortner (children: Samuel, Thomas & Elizabeth). Elijah's second wife was Elizabeth Davis.

Thomas Fortner (aka Forkner) born 1835/36 married Theresa Hilton (?) in NC (?) and moved to Surry Co/Hawkins, Tennessee. Thomas and Theresa had several children, Lucinda, Edward, William Riley, Martha C, Thomas E., Jame M. and Parmelia (aka "Anna"). Thomas eventually ended up in Salem, Oregon. Don't know what happened to Theresa, did she die in Tennessee?

I know this is a lot, but any information would be helpful.
