Martha C. Wilson Fortner Bates Co. MO
I am looking for descendants of Martha C. Wilson who was m. to John Fortner in Sangamon Co. IL and who d. in Bates Co. MO in 1910 to see if I can locate any information concerning when and where her parents died.
Please note, I am NOT a descendant of the Fortner family and I have no information to provide concerning them. I am a descendant of a brother of Martha's mother, who was Nancy Lewis Wilson.
Martha C. Wilson Fortner's parents were James O. Wilson and Nancy Lewis, m. in Caldwell Co., KY, in 1830. They migrated to Sangamon Co., IL along with all of Nancy's family, and then to Bates Co., MO.
Samuel Lewis Wilson, Martha's brother, either returned to Sangamon Co. or possibly never left it, since it fought in the CW in a regiment mostly raised in Sangamon. James O. Wilson, Samuel and Martha's father, was living with Samuel in Ball Township of Sangamon Co. in 1880; his wife, Nancy Lewis Wilson, was living with their daughter, Martha C. Wilson Fortner, in Spruce Township of Bates Co., MO in 1880.
What I am primarily interested in is where and when James Wilson and his wife, Nancy Lewis Wilson died, and where they were buried. Any further information concerning their lives would be appreciated, but as I said before, I am not a descendant of the Fortner family and I have no information concerning the Fortner family- what I'm interested in is Martha C. Wilson Fortner's parents.
